About GreenScape
Sustainable Surfaces LLC is a startup launched by playground surfacing experts with one goal in mind: to create an environmentally friendly, affordable safety surfacing material for playgrounds throughout the US and the world. We engineered GreenScape©, a state-of-the-art interlocking tile system that offers the safety and sustainability benefits required for today’s playgrounds. GreenScape’s thermoplastic polymer composition allows its unique design, resulting in the creation of a lighter tile with better structural integrity and durability. GreenScape has excellent energy absorption and therefore great fall height protection.

FAQs
A thermoplastic polymer is a type of polymeric material that softens and can be molded into shapes when heated and hardens into that shape when it is cooled. Thermoplastics do not show any chemical or physical property change when heated or cooled several times, which makes them easy to recycle. This means that GreenScape tiles can be recovered and reused to mold new tiles via the same molding.

GreenScape is the only 100% recyclable thermoplastic rubber tile surfacing available today. It is very competitive pricing-wise with other natural rubber crosslinked tile surfacing that does not interlock and requires physical fastening. However, the installation of GreenScape is faster and less expensive since it interlocks and needs no physical fastening.
